VoCE’s Blowout Tips for Sleek, Straight Hair

f your hair is straight…

Step 1: Place a small amount of VoCE’ Smooth ME Cream into hands, emulsify and spread evenly through damp hair, from mid-shaft to ends, and comb through. 

Step 2: Rough-dry your hair by tousling it with your fingers until it’s 80 percent dry.

Step 3: Part your hair and secure the top layers with clips on both sides. Starting with the loose hair in the back, pull one-inch sections forward with a large, round, mixed-bristle brush as you dry from roots to ends. Unclip the top layers and continue drying this way.

Step 4: Once your hair is completely dry, rub a pea-size amount of the smoothing cream between your fingers, then apply onto ends and over any short, broken hairs around the crown.

If your hair is curly …

Step 1: To straighten curls and remove all traces of frizz, you must tackle them while they’re still very damp. Begin by evenly applying VoCE’  Smooth ME Cream.

Step 2: Separate hair into five sections (top right, top left, middle back, bottom right, and bottom left) and secure each with a hair clip.

Step 3: Starting at the front of your head, lift each section away from your scalp with a mixed-bristle paddle brush, then slowly follow the brush with the dryer, directing the flow of air down the hair shaft. If your hair is very curly at the roots, go over each section repeatedly until it’s 100 percent dry. Any moisture will make the hair revert to its natural texture.

Step 4: Blast each dry section with a shot of cold air, which locks in your style and helps eliminate static.

To extend the life of an old cut, blow-dry with a round brush that has natural bristles (it will help smooth your hair and hide split ends) and then apply VoCE’s Smooth ME Cream to tame flyaways, defrizz, and hydrate dry ends.  Can also be applied to towel-dried hair before blow-drying.
